Hello, I'm Sean Scott and I'd like to welcome you to my website.

Please click on the links above or any of the headings below to find out a bit more about me, healing and emotional therapy.

About Me

I was born in 1953 in the Cotswolds, in a village called Lower Swell. I had a number of different occupations during my youth but eventually ended up in a career within IT for nearly 25 years.

I began my spiritual path in earnest in the late 1990’s following numerous spiritual and psychic experiences which precipitated a spiritual awakening. Since that time I have worked extensively on myself using a variety of techniques, including soul centred healing and mediumship development, before realising that it was healing which was my calling.

I trained as a healer for 2 years with the National Federation of Spiritual Healers (NFSH) (now also known as The Healing Trust) and became a full healer member in 2009. After qualifying I ran a student healing group for a time and gave healing at a drop-in centre. I now work from my home in Cheltenham and also from the Townhouse Clinic in Bath Road, Cheltenham.

I am a qualified Reiki practitioner (level 3) and in addition to healing have also received training in counselling (CPCAB level 2 counselling skills and CPCAB level 3 counselling studies).

My spiritual journey has been difficult and complex at times but as a result I have learned much about the spiritual path and the way it works, not least the importance of self healing. I also learned from experience that at the root of many health problems are unhealthy beliefs and emotional issues which have often been developed in childhood. Hence, I decided to qualify as an Emotional Therapist in preference to further qualifications in other types of counselling, as Emotional Therapy focuses more on root causes rather than simply developing coping strategies.

I live in Cheltenham with my wife Lin. I have 2 sons, a grandson and a granddaughter.

About Healing

Spiritual healing is a natural energy therapy. It involves the transfer of energy through the healer to the recipient. It promotes self-healing by relaxing the body, releasing tensions and strengthening the body’s own immune system. It is non-invasive as it is given at the level of the aura. It is holistic with the intention of bringing the recipient into a state of well-being and balance on all levels.

Having someone to talk to who will listen and not judge is an essential part of any healing process and taking time to talk things through also forms part of the healing session. A typical session usually takes about 50 minutes and costs £25.

For more information about this type of healing see http://www.thehealingtrust.org.uk

Emotional Therapy

Emotional Therapy is a means of helping people who are suffering from emotional turmoil. This may take the form of anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties or even just a general sense of unhappiness. Emotional Therapy may at first appear to be just another type of counselling but in fact it is very different. Emotional therapy works primarily with the emotions rather than the mind. It is also more holistic insofar as it treats mind, body and spirit of equal importance.

Emotional therapy is not just for deep rooted problems it can also be a useful tool for personal development, self awareness and spiritual growth, or even just to help you through a difficult time or a particular issue that may be manifesting in your life.

There is a free initial consultation (about 20 to 30 minutes). Therapy sessions generally last one hour and cost £30.

I am also a memeber of the National Counselling Society. For more information about this organisation see http://www.nationalcounsellingsociety.org.
